July: Intermediate Sewing
Our Intermediate Sewing class is designed for students ready to expand their garment construction skills through the creation of a classic button-up shirt. Over four weeks, you will learn intermediate techniques including pattern cutting and preparation, interfacing application, sleeve setting, cuff construction, collar attachment, plackets, and buttonholes.
This course focuses on precision sewing, professional finishing methods, and building confidence with more advanced apparel projects. Students should already feel comfortable operating a sewing machine and basic sewing terminology. Throughout the class, instructors provide hands-on guidance in a supportive studio environment.
By the end of the course, each student will complete a polished, wearable shirt while gaining skills that translate to future garment-making projects. This class is ideal for sewists looking to move beyond beginner projects and strengthen their apparel construction techniques..
